Council Chamber (Rm. 260)
Next Thursday, January 30th at 4:30 PM, Lewis & Clark College Outdoors and the ONDA (Oregon Natural Desert Association) will hold an interactive presentation and Q&A session in Council Chamber (Templeton College Center, Room 260).
This presentation will focus on the Owyhee Canyonlands and the spectacular recreational opportunities throughout this red rock canyon country of eastern Oregon. Learn about (mostly unknown) places you could backpack, hike, raft, kayak, or do other outdoor pursuits.
There is no wilderness protection for this area currently, but as more people become aware of this hidden gem on public land, we are hoping politicians will realize the value of saving this part of the high desert.
College Outdoors invites every student, faculty, and staff member of the Lewis & Clark community to join us for this exciting presentation about a little-known area.
Hope to see you all there!
