Come connect with fellow participants from 2017 Overseas and Off-Campus programs! This is an opportunity to share stories, discuss challenges, and reconnect with Oregon. Along with College Outdoors student trip leaders, a member of the Overseas Programs staff will also accompany you on your journey. Learn about more ways to connect your experience abroad to volunteer and professional opportunities here in Portland and beyond.

On the Central Oregon Coast lies an area of huge Sitka trees, ferns, cliffs down to the ocean, cascading streams, and waterfalls. We’ll head out Friday evening after dinner to stay overnight at a charter school in Neskowin, then spend Saturday hiking before heading back to campus in time for dinner. We’ll hike through old growth forest to a secluded bay where we may watch sea lions. The seven-mile round trip hike traverses some of the most productive rainforest on earth, showcasing Oregon’s natural treasures. Welcome back to the beautiful Northwest!

Trip fee: $48, or just $24 for those with federal financial aid, thanks to ASLC. The fee covers all trip costs including transportation, leaders, any gear you need to borrow (such as a sleeping bag or hiking boots), and food for anyone on an LC meal plan. If you don’t have a meal plan there is an additional $4 charge for food. What a deal!
