The Queen’s Bench 2018 Holiday Luncheon
Date: 11:30am - 1:00pm PST December 11, 2018 Location: Sentinel Hotel
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Queen’s Bench 2018 Holiday Luncheon Honoring Women Judges will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Sentinel Hotel in downtown Portland from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanks to our amazing sponsors, student tickets are available for only $20.00 each! And if Lewis & Clark Law School sponsors 9 students, your table of 10 will be complete with one of our amazing judges. You can buy your ticket or sponsor the event here.
We are excited to present this year’s program, “Community Rx,” a conversation on the powerful intersection of adversity and community, as seen through the lens of three courageous women in our legal community:
Valerie Colas (Office of Public Defense Services) will share with us the impact of community on her experience as a new Oregonian while her family was impacted by the massive 2010 Haiti earthquake, the deadliest earthquake of the 21st century to date.
Pilar French (Lane Powell) will offer thoughts on what community really means in the face of a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Dana Ghazi (Portland State University) will discuss the intersection of global human rights, women’s rights, leadership, and the refugee experience, and how local communities are uniquely poised to make a world of change.
We hope to see you there! Happy Holidays!
