This year, we are excited to bring Aman Ali to speak on “Changing Narratives”. Mr. Ali will talk about how he incorporates his Indian, American and Muslim background into his current work and how he uses his work to, in return, help uplift those communities that have formed him.

We believe bringing Mr. Ali will evoke insightful discussion about what being a TCK truly means. Third Culture Kids are people raised in a culture other than their parents’ or the culture of the country named on their passport for a significant part of their early development years. This includes first and second generation immigrants like Mr. Ali who’s parents came to America for a better life.

Mr. Ali has been recognized as one of the most popular social media personalities in the Muslim American community today. He’s made appearances on dozens of media outlets such as the New York Times, CNN, HBO, BBC, and NPR. His project 30 Mosques in 30 Days – a 25,000 mile road trip he took driving to all 50 states in the U.S. with the mission of telling groundbreaking stories of Muslim Americans made him one of the top newsmakers of 2010 by CNN.
