Templeton Campus Center Council Chamber
This Veritas Forum is a wonderful opportunity to hear two accomplished professors, one an evolutionary biologist and one a mathematician and computer scientist, discuss the topic of science and God. The discussion takes place on Tuesday, September 17th at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber in the Templeton Campus Center at Lewis & Clark College.
Featured in this discussion are Lewis & Clark professor of biology Dr. Greta Binford who identifies as an agnostic, and University of San Diego professor of applied mathematics and computer science Dr. Satyan Devadoss, who identifies as a Christian. Their discussion together about science and God will be moderated by Lewis & Clark associate professor of Rhetoric & Media Studies Dr. Kundai Chirindo, and members of the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of Dr. Binford and Dr. Devadoss as well.
The Office of Spiritual Life and the Newman Club are sponsoring this event, along with The Veritas Forum. Discussions like this have taken place in more than 200 colleges and universities across the country, and seek to provide students and faculty with an opportunity to consider life’s hardest and deepest questions in the context of lively conversations between some of America’s most remarkable and thought-provoking professors.
