400 Years of Enslavement and my Family
Date: 3:30pm - 5:00pm PDT September 26 Location: Gregg Pavilion
Please join Lewis & Clark’s Ombuds Valerie White for a presentation to explore the intersection of enslavement and some of her family members.
She will give a bit of context setting about the slavery of Africans and African Americans in the US, but the bulk of the time will be talking about this from her family’s experience.
At the end, there’ll be an opportunity for attendees to stand and say the name of a family member who was enslaved, or “Beloved Family” if they don’t know a specific name.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about this 90-minute presentation.
