Dismantling Racism Workbook Series

This is a six week series for staff and faculty who would like to commit to dismantling racism within their spheres of influence. We meet every Thursday for six weeks from 2:30-4pm, you must be able to attend and commit to all six weeks. By signing up for this session you are committing to meeting the following days: Sept 24th, Oct 1st, Oct 8th, Oct 15th, Oct 22nd, and Oct 29th.
Participants can expect to gain a deeper understanding of racism, how racism operates on an individual and institutional level, how to address racism they see at these levels, and how to build coalition to make a cultural change to dismantle racism. All learning levels and positions are welcome, folks in supervisory or management roles are encouraged to enroll.
Content includes but is not limited to:
- Brief history of construction of racism
- Common language and term definitions
- Internalized racism
- white supremacy culture and tenants
- Analysis and action tools
