Riverview Natural Area Hike

Date: 12:00pm - 2:00pm PDT September 19 Location: The Glade

  • Four people smile for a picture outdoors

The Glade

Riverview Natural Area directly adjacent to Lewis & Clark, and offers a secluded forest to explore right in your backyard. We’ll hike on rustic trails through varied terrain that is sometimes steep. After all, Riverview includes land from the Palatine hilltop all the way down to the Willamette River! This rustic hidden corner of forest is great for soaking in nature, in a spot seldom visited by the general public.

We’ll depart directly from campus to hike for 1.5 - 2 hours, depending on the pace and preferences of the group, and we’ll make our way along the sometimes confusing matrix of hidden trails. There are no facilities available in this rustic hidden corner of forest, so be sure to bring what you’ll need.

No Experience Necessary! This will be a fun and safe way to get off campus with your “pod,” or sign up on your own to meet new people!

Covid-19 Mitigation:

  • Consider signing up with your “pod” mates
  • Masks and 6ft distancing required
  • Groups capped at 10 people (including leaders)

Meeting Place:
We’ll depart from the “glade”, the circle of grass between Pamplin Sports Center and Frank Manor House. Look for the “College Outdoors” sign.
