Fir Acres Estate Gardens

Learn how to make baskets out of English ivy, one of the most invasive plant species in Oregon. This is not only a fun craft, but also a great thing to do with this pretty vine that can take over forests understories and even strangle trees.

This is the perfect opportunity to take a break and get outdoors with your “pod mates, or connect with other students and engage with nature in a creative and meditative way.

No Experience Necessary! This will be a fun and safe way to enjoy the sunshine with your “pod,” or sign up on your own to meet new people!

Covid-19 Mitigation:

  • Consider signing up with your “pod” mates
  • Masks and 6ft distancing required
  • Groups capped at 10 people (including leaders)

Meeting Place:
We’ll depart from the the reflecting pool behind Frank Manor House. Look for the “College Outdoors” sign.
