Millions of Intricate Moves: Artistic and Spiritual Responses to War and Peace
Friday, March 2-Sunday, March 4
This symposium will be a gathering to explore the range of human gifts for reconciliation in time of war. Topics will range from Quaker responses to the American Civil War, through the poetry of witness and medieval music on war themes, to Civilian Public Service and the wartime writings of William Stafford. Presenters will include witnesses who use professional and creative practice to encourage discovery and conversation. The conference will open Friday evening with a public event at First Unitarian Church. It will be followed by a 5-week workshop for continued discussion of Symposium themes (See Stafford Studies).
