Update 5/10/22:
Priority registration has ended, but it’s not too late to sign up! Registration is now first-come, first-served, based on remaining availability.
You can still follow the steps below to register, and we’ll let you know as soon as possible if there is an available space on one of your trip choices. If not, you will be placed on a waitlist. Typically many students who are initially on the waitlist do get placed on trips, but it is impossible to say how many people who sign up after priority registration will be placed on trips, or when a space will become available.
How to Register:
- Review the Trip options, and decide which are your top 3-5 choices.
- Complete the Registration Form below. The only questions which are required are the ones with an asterisk (*)
- Complete the online Health & Diet Questionnaire. Both the Registration for AND the Health & Diet form are required to complete your registration. You’ll receive a confirmation email within 1-2 business days.
- Once registered, we’ll place you on a trip within 2 weeks and notify you via email. You then have up until June 15th to decide if you’d like to go and submit your payment.
Trip Placement:
Registration opens at 9 AM Pacific Time, Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022. Registrations received in the first week will be included in the first round of trip placements. If more registrations are received than there are spaces available, placements will be based on a lottery. If you register after Monday, May 9th at 11:59pm Oregon time, trip placements will be based on remaining availability. Registrations are received throughout the summer until all spaces are filled, at which point we open a waitlist.
All the trips are a lot of fun, and the most important thing that happens on every trip is the friendships you will form!
We encourage students to complete the trip registration process themselves, rather than have a parent complete it on their behalf. For students who might not be that interested spending a week outdoors on a New Student Trip, there will be many opportunities to make friends, learn about L&C, and transition to college life during the on-campus New Student Orientation.
COVID-19
Vaccination against Covid-19 is required for participation, please review the Covid-19 mitigation requirements for NSTs. Trips are subject to change or cancellation based on the situation in August with Covid-19 and the guidelines from the State of Oregon and Lewis & Clark College at that time.
All fields marked with asterisk (*) are required.
