\n Environmental work is an oft-cited s trength of the College. Yet we come at it in diverse ways that are often siloed. How might we leverage our diversity of approaches into even great er strength? And what connections can we fortify or build afresh to do so ? We're thinking broadly about "environment" – it's not just rocks and trees! If we reimagined it to include the diverse entanglements between p eople and our biophysical\, virtual\, or imagined surroundings\, might yo u see yourself in that work? We invite you to join this discussion even i f you don't currently self-identify as someone doing "environmental work. "\n

A Community Dialogue is:
This form of engagement is not intended to change people's beliefs or values\, to arri ve at a decision or plan of action or to produce a specific outcome. It i s an opportunity for self-reflection and to foster greater understanding and connection. There will be additional opportunities for us to engage o n this and other topics in the future.
Using a facilitated\, h ighly-structured method\, small groups will work together to ensure that all participants feel comfortable talking about their experiences\, value s\, and beliefs. You will be invited to share your stories and perspectiv es as part of the dialogue. This is also an opportunity to learn about th e Community Dialogue approach by experiencing it first hand.
Participants: please be ready to engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue w ith respect\, honesty\, and an open mind. Please commit to attending the entire 60 minute dialogue. We cannot admit late arrivals. Showing up full y present to one another and the conversation is an important part of the Community Dialogues process.
Each dialogue will be facilitated by a trained Community Dialoguefacilitator.

The impacts from U.S. animal agricultur e on climate change are substantial and well-documented scientifically bu t too often are left out of discussions regarding climate change.
