Lewis & Clark named in National Jurist’s Best Law Schools for Public Interest

Lewis & Clark was named a top-ten school for public interest law in new rankings by National Jurist.

Lewis & Clark Law School was named among the Best Law Schools for Public Interest by National Jurist. Criteria for the list include outstanding clinical opportunities, strong faculty involvement, and a robust loan repayment assistance program.

The law school’s public interest law program consistently ranks among the top 10 programs in the country. Lewis & Clark has one of the highest rates of public interest law participation in the country, with more than one out of three graduates choosing to work in the public service sector.

A number of programs and projects at the law school—such as legal clinics, externships, and the Public Interest Law Project (PILP)—help students and graduates succeed in the sector. PILP provides stipends to law students doing summer internships in public interest law and raises funds for the loan repayment assistance program, which helps graduates working in public sector repay their student loans.
