Reunion Weekend 2011

Alumni Return for Summer Celebrations

Alumni Return for Summer Celebrations

In late June, under sunny skies, more than 800 alumni and friends returned to campus to celebrate Reunion Weekend 2011. Attendees came to Portland from as far away as Japan and the United Kingdom to reconnect with Lewis & Clark and each other. The event marked the culmination of 18 months of work by over 100 alumni volunteers, who served on class reunion and reunion giving committees and organized overseas and off-campus program reunions.

Alumni enjoyed a variety of activities, including class dinners and receptions; overseas and off-campus program reunions; special presentations from faculty, alumni, and faculty-student research teams; a Northwest salmon bake; and late-night music in the Trail Room and the Frank Manor House. In addition, 45 alumni from a mix of classes rehearsed throughout the weekend and sang with the Alumni Choir at the Albany Society Breakfast on Sunday morning.

In a strong show of support for the college, alumni gave $143,764 in reunion gifts.
