Clark Yeager brings more than three decades of athletic experience to Lewis & Clark as the new director of physical education and athletics. He joined the College on July 1.

Yeager, 56, had been at Pennsylvania’s Kutztown University since 1992, first as director of athletics and more recently as assistant to the provost. At Kutztown, he was responsible for overseeing a $3-million department that includes 22 intercollegiate athletic teams, a competitive cheer team, recreational sports, and athletic facilities. Previously, he served as associate and interim athletic director at California State University at Chico. From 1976 to 1991, he was CSU Chico’s head men’s swimming and diving coach.

“It was Lewis & Clark’s academic quality that first attracted me,” says Yeager. “After visiting, I was sold on the quality of the people and their universal commitment to an athletic program that mirrors the College’s academic success.”
