“The David Rosengarden,” an on-campus vegetable garden, is just one of many ways that Lewis & Clark students have paid tribute to a much loved residence director who is leaving this summer to attend law school.

David Rosengard is the area director for Forest residence hall. He is widely known for his pirate-inspired attire and caring nature—whether he’s supporting a student cause or offering a shoulder to lean on.

“We intervene when people are in crisis,” Rosengard said. “I feel that there are students who, without the efforts of the college, myself included, would not be where they are today.”
