Denise is a native of Portland. She enjoys gardening and is looking into beekeeping. Canada’s Sunshine Coast is her favorite vacation spot. When asked how she came to work at Lewis & Clark, Denise responds, “After working in banking for 24 years, deciding to work at Lewis & Clark was a quality of life choice. I’ve never regretted it.” The most interesting thing she has experienced at LC is finding building plans for buildings that were never built. Examples include a Bio-Psych fore-runner in the shape of Flanagan Chapel and the Law school that was designed for the Templeton parking lot. Did you know that the other half of Bodine was never built?
Her advice to LC students: To quote Albert Schweitzer, “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
