Minnesota Chapter of Lewis & Clark Alumni

2009
The Minnesota Alumni Chapter serves to connect and engage alumni, parents, friends and students of Lewis & Clark College residing in the North Star State.

The Minnesota Alumni Chapter is organized entirely by volunteers – primarily alumni living in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area – who plan and host events throughout the year.  The events consist of family bowling get-togethers, happy hours, presentations by Lewis & Clark faculty and administrators, and summer sendoffs at an alumni-owned lake residence. These events are unique to this chapter because they are entirely planned and executed by volunteers and they involve both Law and CAS alumni. Law alumni are included primarily because of expressed interest, but also because of the small size of the College’s constituent audience in Minnesota. Many of the undergraduate alumni are employed in the law profession and get to know Law graduates through their daily business.

Over the past five years, the Minnesota Chapter has been tremendously vital to the success of annual events sponsored by the College. The consistent engagement they foster at their throughout the year result in large turnouts of both CAS and Law alumni at College events. Members of the chapter have been instrumental in advising on venues, introducing speakers, suggesting faculty for visits, and engaging prospective and admitted students and families. The Minnesota Chapter is the embodiment of alumni volunteers working tirelessly to promote, improve, and celebrate their alma mater.
