Vote for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s partnership with Special Olympics

Vote for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s partnership with Special Olympics

The Lewis & Clark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s story on its work with the Special Olympics has been nominated for this month’s NCAA Division III Special Olympics Spotlight Poll. The school with the highest number of votes on August 25 will win $500 towards their next Special Olympic activity.

Other perks of winning include being recognized in the Division III Monthly Newsletter and on the Division III Special Olympics website. The Pioneers are up against stories from Salve Regina and State University College at New Paltz.

The Pioneers were one of the first Division III institutions in the nation to partner with the Special Olympics, donating nearly $6,500 to the Multnomah County Special Olympics over the past two years. SAAC has hosted 10+ events in honor of the Special Olympics including two coin drives and several BBQ’s. (To read more about the Pioneers partnership with Multnomah County click here).
