Lewis & Clark makes Sierra Club’s list of top 25 sustainable schools

Sierra magazine has named Lewis & Clark one of the Top 25 “Coolest Schools,” honoring America’s greenest colleges and universities.

Sierra magazine has named Lewis & Clark one of the Top 25 “Coolest Schools,” honoring America’s greenest colleges and universities.

From classes in environmental studies to student-run gardens, Lewis & Clark integrates sustainability at every level. This commitment helped move Lewis & Clark up 15 places on this year’s Sierra Club list of 96 colleges and universities, from #37 in 2011 to #22 in 2012.

The Sierra Club rankings are based on surveys that track categories including energy supply, water usage, food, research, purchasing, transportation, waste management, financial investments, and innovation.
