Baseball

Senior Michael Ball ended his baseball career with Northwest Conference Second-Team honors after guiding the Pioneers to a 7-33 overall record and
4-20 conference standing.


Softball

The Pioneer softball team closed the season with a 5-25 conference record, its best Northwest Conference finish in recent years.


Tennis

In their first season under new head coach Patrick Dreves, the Pioneer men’s and women’s tennis teams put together solid results with two young squads. First-year Olivier Groot earned Northwest Conference First-Team honors for the Pioneer men, playing from the No. 1 position. Groot was also named the Pioneer Male Rookie of the Year.


Track and Field

Two Northwest Conference champions emerged from Lewis & Clark’s track and field program: senior Kevin Carpenter and junior Emily Thomas. Carpenter took home a championship in the 200- meter dash, while Thomas earned first place finishes in the 5,000- and 10,000-meter runs. Thomas ended the year as the Lois Smithwick Co-Athlete of the Year, while Carpenter was named the Dan Jones Dual Sport Athlete of the Year.
