7th Annual Liberation-Based Healing Conference

The Center for Community Engagement invites you to join us for the 7th Annual Liberation-Based Healing Conference. Participants will learn to apply social justice to the criminal justice system, community and domestic violence, education, immigration policy, mental health and wellness, religious and spiritual practices, poverty, and youth empowerment. 
 

Full Conference (Friday and Saturday)

On day one of this training we will hear from therapists, educators, spiritual leaders, and community activists from across North America who will describe programs that have been created in their communities that promote equity and access for all. 

Public Community Dialogue (Saturday only) 

On day two there will be a community dialogue free and open to the public to explore opportunities to form new alliances and generate liberation-based healing practices for grassroots community change in Portland. 

Conference Dates: Friday-Saturday, October 19-20, 2012
Times: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday
Location: Friends of the Children, 65 NE Stanton St, Portland, OR
Two-day Conference Fee: $140 by 10/5, $160 after. $60 students.
