Flu shot clinic, Oct. 3-4

Greetings to the Lewis and Clark Community from the Student Health Service,

It is fall and time to give yourself the best protection we have against the seasonal flu.  The Student Health Service will be hosting two seasonal flu vaccination clinics for all employees and students.

Flu Shot Clinics
Where: Student Health Service, Templeton Student Center
When: Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 4, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The cost is $28.  Students may pay with check, cash or charge the cost to their student accounts.  If paying by check, please have your check ready and payable to Lewis & Clark College.  While clinic staff cannot bill insurance directly, they will provide individuals with a receipt which can be submitted to insurance carriers for reimbursement.   Students enrolled in the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan offered by Lewis & Clark can expect 100% reimbursement from Aetna Student Health, as long as students submit their receipts.  Students with other insurance coverage should contact their insurance carrier to determine the amount of reimbursement to expect. 

Please note:  The Student Health Service is an out-of-network provider for the Pioneer Medical Regence   BlueCross BlueShield (PPO) plan.  This means that most employees will not be eligible for reimbursement for the cost of flu shots received at the Student Health Service.  Employees covered under the Regence BlueCross BlueShield Plan can have their flu shots covered at 100% by going to an in-network provider.  For employees participating in the Kaiser Medical Plan, please visit www.kp.org/flu for details on a walk-in flu clinic at a Kaiser Permanente medical facility near you.

The Student Health Service encourages everyone to get your flu shot early.  For those unable to attend this clinic, the Health Service will be offering additional opportunities for students and employees to receive flu shots while supplies last.
