This spring, the Paul L. Boley Law Library celebrates the acquisition of its half-millionth volume. Under the direction of Peter Nycum, professor of law and associate dean for the library, the law library collection has grown from 120,000 volumes in 1978 to 500,000 in 2005. “The law library’s collection has evolved from merely supporting the curriculum to its present status as a full research facility,” says Nycum. “This transformation not only provides a wide range of research opportunities to the faculty, but also attracts visiting scholars to the law school.”
