1953

Donald P. Ostensoe ’53 became a member of the Diamond Pioneer agricultural Achievement Registry of the College of Agricultural sciences at Oregon State university last October. Previously, Ostensoe was executive director of beef promotion and public relations for the Oregon Beef Council, and executive vice president for Beef Producers of Oregon, which is affiliated with the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association. He served on committees of the National Beef Council in Chicago and the National Cattlemen’s Association in Denver.

Mary Lee Davenport Anderson ’57 has retired from the Denver city attorney’s office, where she worked as a legal administrator. She enjoys traveling, gardening, sewing, and reading.

Henry Kilmer ’57 is superintendent of schools in Storey County, Nevada. Kilmer has taken four trips to India, most recently with Rotary International. He and his wife, Jo, have seven children and 15 grandchildren between them.

David Bachman ’58, MA ’98 has earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Pacific University, 45 years after earning his undergraduate degree in mathematics from the College. To qualify for licensing, Bachman will serve a supervised residency with Kaiser Permanente in Salem.
