Alumnus Mark Woolley closes gallery, profiled in Oregonian

Alumnus Mark Woolley, featured in The Oregonian, ponders his next chapter after closing his art gallery.

Alumnus Mark Woolley was featured in the Oregonian this month after closing his art gallery in the Pearl District and pondering the next chapter in his storied career.

A political science major, Woolley graduated in 1974 and stayed at Lewis & Clark to earn a master’s degree in teaching in 1977. He taught for 15 years before he opened the Woolley Gallery in 1993.

“I’m just trying to open myself up right now…what’s interesting is not knowing what the next step is,” Woolley told the Oregonian.
