‘Counseling’ Added to School Name

Lewis & Clark’s graduate school has a new name: the Graduate School of Education and Counseling

Lewis & Clark’s graduate school has a new name: the Graduate School of Education and Counseling. The change was approved by Lewis & Clark’s Board of Trustees this spring.

“We’re delighted to have a name that more accurately reflects the scope of our school and enhances our standing and recognition in the community,” says Peter W. Cookson, dean of the graduate school. “At the heart of it, we wanted to acknowledge that counseling is one of our key programs.” (See page 28 for a story about Lewis & Clark’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program, one of the graduate school’s signature counseling programs.)
