Define American: An Evening with Jose Antonio Vargas, Oct. 23

Hello Staff and Faculty–

On October 23 at 7 p.m. we welcome journalist and activist Jose Antonio Vargas to our campus as a keynote to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month.

Vargas has gone to write for some of the most prestigious news organizations in the country, including a profile on Mark Zuckerberg for The New Yorker.

He also served as a senior contributing editor at the Huffington post, and was part of the Pulitzer Prize wining team that covered the 2007 massacre at Virginia Tech.

Vargas now runs Define American, a nonprofit organization that seeks to elevate the conversation around immigration.

For more information on the work of Jose Antonio Vargas, please visit: http://www.defineamerican.com/

If you have additional questions on Vargas’ visit to Lewis & Clark on October 23, please contact me at x7051 or email rosiea@lclark.edu

Looking forward to seeing you there!
