Graduate School Dean Scott Fletcher was elected last week as president of the Oregon Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the state affiliate of the national organization which includes all public and private teacher prep institutions in the state.
Serving in this position puts Lewis & Clark in greater direct contact with the Oregon Department of Education, the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission, the new Chief Education Officer, the Governor’s Office, and, at least once a year, a formal opportunity to interact with our congressional members and/or their staff (in Washington DC).
