Faculty bookwarming with Patricia Hasbach, April 9

Faculty bookwarming with Patricia Hasbach

Join the Lewis & Clark Bookstore Tuesday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. to celebrate Graduate School faculty member Patricia Hasbach’s newest book The Rediscovery of the Wild.  This book was co-edited with Peter H. Kahn, Jr.

The Rediscovery of the Wild offers a variety of perspectives regarding physical and psychological ties to untamed, wild nature, considering evolutionary underpinnings, primordial passions within human nature, children’s fascination with wild animals and the psychological healing. In order to nourish this relationship, the authors consider ways in which we can engage with the wild, as well as protect and recover it.

Dr. Hasbach is a licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist, offering ecotherapy to adults, couples and families as a means to incorporate nature into the therapeutic process. Previous to The Rediscovery of the Wild, she edited Ecopsychology (MIT Press, 2012).

Light refreshments will be served during this event.
