Lewis & Clark is expecting 1,000 alumni and friends to celebrate Reunion Weekend on campus this Thursday, June 20, through Sunday, June 23. Working with more than 100 alumni, student, and staff volunteers, the Office of Alumni and Parent Programs will offer a full schedule of activities and events for affinity groups—including overseas and off-campus programs, College Outdoors alumni, sororities and fraternities, and alumni of color—in addition to celebrating milestone reunions for the Classes of 1953, 1963, 1973, 1983, 1988, 1993, 2003, and 2008.

“There’s nothing like hundreds of misty-eyed alumni talking and laughing together to remind us all of the strong bond among the Lewis & Clark family,” said Stephen LeBoutillier, interim director of alumni and parent programs. “Whether you are joining in the fun or just passing by, please wear your gold nametags to show your connection with the college!”

Faculty and staff are welcome to enjoy the following reunion festivities:

Big Band Dance: June 21, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Pamplin Sports Center

Join the Providence Stage Band, led by Larry Morrell ’54, and bring your dancing shoes.

Alumni Colleges: June 21-22

Faculty emeriti, current faculty and staff, and alumni will offer presentations on their various areas of expertise. Consult the schedule or just drop by J.R. Howard Hall, where a schedule with classroom locations will be available by the double doors at the south entrance.

Join faculty, staff, and alumni from throughout the Portland area for this famous annual event, featuring a traditional salmon bake prepared by the Charley family of the Warm Springs Tribe. The family caught all of the salmon and will cook it over a fire pit on campus. Barbecue staples—burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, and sides—and gourmet additions will also be available. A Boka Marimba band will entertain you while you enjoy delicious Northwest fare and drinks. Hear from members of the national Board of Alumni and President Glassner, and sing the alma mater with the Alumni Choir.
