The Office of Transportation and Parking has established several important rules and guidelines for parking on campus. Please read the following information carefully:

  1. Register your vehicle(s). As of September 3, 2013, all Lewis & Clark community members must register their vehicles. This regulation applies to all faculty, staff, and students–including those who only purchase daily parking passes. Registration is free.

  2. Purchase your annual, semester, or daily parking permit at The PermitStore. Permits purchased by September 15, 2013 will be sent through campus mail, permits purchased after this date can be picked up at the Transportation and Parking office, located at Facilities Services, building 47 on the Campus Map.

  4. Need a day pass? Daily parking passes are available for purchase from The PermitStore and from machines located in Law, Graduate and Griswold parking lots. Please remember to register your vehicle with the PermitStore if you are planning to purchase day passes.
  5. Park only where your permit designates. Staff, faculty, student, visitor and handicapped parking stalls are monitored continuously. Please obey all traffic and speed signs on campus.
  6. Do not park in the neighborhoods surrounding campus for school business. The neighborhoods are monitored daily Monday-Friday for parking infractions.
  7. Get to campus early! Getting to campus 20 minutes before your class or work day begins greatly improves your chances of finding a parking spot and alleviates frustration.
  8. Ride the Pioneer Express ShuttleFree shuttle service for Lewis & Clark community members traveling between the main campus and downtown Portland. Weekday schedule resumes on Thursday, August 23. Schedules are posted near shuttle stops.
  9. Consider carpooling with others. Carpool parking is available throughout campus parking lots and the parking permits are discounted for those who choose to take advantage of carpooling.
  10. If you receive a parking citation, do not ignore it. Pay or appeal the fine within 10 days of the infraction date at the website on the back of the ticket.
