In the summer of 2013, I was fortunate enough to receive a PILP stipend. With it, I traveled to Anchorage, Alaska to work with Trustees for Alaska. Trustees for Alaska is a local nonprofit environmental law firm representing everyone from native groups to concerned local individuals. While working with Trustees for Alaska I gained valuable experience in the legal profession and met an amazing group of peers and co-workers. Additionally, I had the opportunity to get out, explore, and see what Alaska had to offer. Which, it turns out, is quite a lot. Without the PILP stipend none of it would have been possible.
