Comings and Goings Update: Rocky Campbell ’00 selected to lead Lewis & Clark’s Career Center. See the full list of new faces, new titles, and a few farewells.

Wilburn “Rocky” Campbell BA ’00 has been selected as the new director of Lewis & Clark’s Career Center. He will start July 1.

“Rocky brings with him a deep appreciation of the liberal arts education and the knowledge that today’s and tomorrow’s workplace environment will benefit greatly from Lewis & Clark students and alumni,” Dean of Students Anna Gonzalez said.

Campbell comes to Lewis & Clark with more than 15 years of experience in strategic management and corporate strategies. Most recently, as chief operating officer of Relocation Coordinates International, he was responsible for developing and managing global service supply chains, information technology and digital initiatives, and employee training.

In addition to his degree in sociology/anthropology and German from Lewis & Clark, Campbell has a master’s degree in sport studies from Miami University and a graduate certificate in strategic management from the University of California, San Diego.

Campbell has been dubbed “one of Lewis & Clark’s most active volunteers.” Among other roles, he has been part of his 10-year-reunion organizing team and has served on the Board of Alumni for nearly five years.

Rocky will relocate from San Diego, where he recently completed a three-year term as president of the San Diego High School Foundation and has been an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Junior Achievement.

“We are excited to welcome Rocky on board the Career Center as our new director,” Trustee Heidi Hu BS ’85 said. “Rocky is deeply familiar with academic settings and has an easy rapport with both corporate executives and college students. We know his experience and skills will serve him well in his new role and look forward to working with him.”
