Festival of Scholars

A new annual event showcases student research, performance, and art.

Lewis & Clark students have always been intellectually curious and driven. Whether they’re collaborating with professors on graduate-level research projects or working toward award-winning academic achievements, they are constantly seeking information and new ways of thinking about the world.

Pioneers now have the opportunity to share their accomplishments at Lewis & Clark’s annual Festival of Scholars, a daylong event in the spring semester designed to encourage, celebrate, and highlight the scholarly and artistic pursuits of our students. This year over 200 undergraduates presented to their peers and professors, as well as prospective students and community members. The 2015 Festival of Scholars featured poster sessions, panels, theatre and music performances, a short film festival, an art open house, and a physics-in-action workshop—including an indoor drone flight powered by software built on campus. The festival is sponsored by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
