Changes in Institutional Advancement announced

President Glassner has announced that Alumni and Parent Programs will move out of Institutional Advancement and will join the Division of Student Life. The APP team will report to Anna Gonzalez, whose work as dean of students is already in service of parents and soon-to-be alumni.
Hal Abrams has stepped down as vice president of Institutional Advancement. Until that position is filled, Institutional Advancement will report to Provost Jane Atkinson while continuing to work closely with the president. Atkinson has led IA in the past, serving as interim vice president for Institutional Advancement during a previous leadership transition.
The search firm m/Oppenheim Associates has been engaged to identify the next vice president of Institutional Advancement. The firm has recently filled key development positions at institutions ranging from the University of California, Berkeley to the Trust for Public Land to the Indianapolis Museum of Art, among other nonprofit organizations.
