Employee fitness (lunch-hour) classes begin Aug. 31

Come join the fun, meet new people from across the campuses and start getting healthier today.

These special employee-only classes have a $30 user fee. You can try a class for the first week to make sure it is right for you, and then payment can be made at Student Accounts. Present your receipt to Class Instructor Suzanne Brauer who will issue you a card to show the instructors.

Classes begin at noon and run approximately 45 minutes. Locations will be updated on the calendar event listings in The Source and posted in Pamplin.

The fall 2015 lunch-hour classes include:

Monday

Core & Stretch: Spend some time on two of the most important things you can do for your body…abs, back, and center core strengthening, along with stretching for the flexibility of your connective tissue, joints, and muscles.

Cardio Tennis: Improve your tennis game in a group lesson format with fun conditioning skills and drills that will keep you moving!

Tuesday

X-Training (class offered at noon and at 1 p.m.): Do it all with a variety of equipment…cardio, strength, core, and stretch…it’s a total body work-out.

Wednesday

Indoor Cycling: All levels of fitness can ride and sweat together on a stationary bike through a fitness journey of timed intervals and terrain simulations.

Cardio Tennis: Improve your tennis game in a group lesson format with fun conditioning skills and drills that will keep you moving!

Thursday

Mind-Body Fusion (class offered at noon and at 1 p.m.): Experience a combination of exercises from yoga, pilates, fitness, and therapy for stamina, stability, strengthening, and stretching.

Friday

Power Hour: Push your body through various resistance, body-weight, plyometric, and functional training movements that will challenge your physical and mental strength. This circuit-style class will give you variety and enjoyment, whether you are in advance physical shape or just starting out.

Physical Education Curriculum

Employees can also take free physical education department classes.  Check for these on WebAdvisor and check with the instructor for availability.
