Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. To promote mathematics, the National Pi Mu Epsilon Council sponsors an annual conference in conjunction with the Mathematics Association of America’s (MAA), the annual MathFest.
Professor Emeritus Roger Nelsen gave an inspiring mathematical talk, and was also inducted into the honor society.
The photo shows 16 of the 20 new student members and 7 mathematics professors.
