Keep Calm and Call On

Information Technology has completed the network upgrade and subsequent migration to Voice over IP (VoIP). New phones have been distributed to all offices and classrooms on campus.

One change to make the campus aware of is that as of January 2nd, we will no longer have public telephones available in common areas, such as the Watzek Library entrance. While the phones themselves will remain until they can be removed, they will no longer be active.  This change does NOT affect blue safety phones around campus.

This is the culmination of an IT project that has spanned 14 months and has included upgrading network equipment, deploying new phones, and migrating our voicemail system.  We are very excited by the successful completion of this project and the positive way in which it positions our network for the future.
