Improving the Military’s Response to Sexual Assault Victims

Since 2012, NCVLI has worked closely with the Department of Defense to improve the response to sexual assault in the military. Click here to read about our recent work.

Since 2012, NCVLI has worked closely with the Department of Defense to improve the response to sexual assault in the military by advising on the development of the special victim counsel program and regularly training military attorneys and advocates on victims’ rights. This month we traveled to Vicenza, Italy to co-train at a summit hosted by the U.S. Army’s Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program. The Summit focused on the long-term physical, mental and emotional effects of sexual harassment and assault. Click here to view photos and read more about the Summit.
