Fall 2016 Employee Fitness (Lunch-Hour) Class Schedule

Classes begin at noon and run approximately 45 minutes.

These special employee-only classes have a $30 user fee. You can try a class for the first week to make sure it is right for you, and then payment can be made at Student Accounts. 

Classes run from noon to 12:45p.m. Locations are set as noted in events listings, but signs will be put up in Pamplin if there is a change.

Class Schedule:

Monday

Cardio tennis in the dome: Improve your tennis game in a group lesson format with fun conditioning skills and drills that will keep you moving!

SpinCycle Class is taught by PE/A Instructor Suzanne Brauer in the Pamplin Gym Foyer.  Come ride and sweat together on an indoor stationary bike through a fitness journey of timed intervals and terrain simulations.

Tuesday

Cardio Soccer: Class is taught by a student-athlete instructor on the Turf/Track at Griswold Stadium, or in the Pamplin Gym Foyer, if the weather is not cooperating. You don’t need to know how to play soccer to participate. Improve your cardio fitness and coordination with speed, agility, and quickness training that challenges your footwork and movement patterns.

Field Games: It’s fun and informal. Everyone is welcome. All levels can play. Games will alternate between soccer and Ultimate Frisbee.  Meet on the turf inside the track at Griswold Stadium. No fee required to play.

Wednesday

Cardio tennis in the dome: Improve your tennis game in a group lesson format with fun conditioning skills and drills that will keep you moving!

Weight Room Circuit: Class is taught by PE/A Instructor Suzanne Brauer in the Pamplin Fitness Center/Weight Room. This class is for all levels of fitness. Starting with dynamic movement and ending with active stretching, each work-out will consist of 5 exercises (pull, push, squat, core, high metabolic) rotating and repeating that will help you increase strength and stamina.

Thursday

Friday

Core & Stretch: Spend some time on two of the most important things you can do for your body…abs, back, and center core strengthening, along with stretching for the flexibility of your connective tissue, joints, and muscles. Meet in the Pamplin Activity (Mat) Room 019.
