Residential student permit changes
Beginning fall term 2017, residential students who would like to bring a vehicle to campus need to be aware of two policy and programmatic changes. First, a new class of parking permit will be required for residential students. These permits will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis according to class standing and the following schedule:
- Residential seniors and juniors may purchase a permit beginning July 15.
- Residential sophomores may purchase a permit beginning July 22.
Permit availability is limited so students should monitor permit purchasing dates. If a student is unable to secure a permit after the designated purchase date, they may still be able eligible for a permit if they file for an exception, please see this website for additional information.
Residential permits will only be valid in designated residential areas, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., this is the second major change to the program.
Residential students will be restricted from parking in commuter lots (Fir Acres, Upper and Lower Griswold) Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.— outside of these times students are welcome to park in other areas of the campus. These changes are intended to reduce congestion in the commuter lots.
