Professor of Economics and Director of the Political Economy Program Martin Hart-Landsberg discusses the tax measures in Oregon’s January special election in The Oregonian. Measures 66 would raise personal income taxes on wealthy Oregonians, while Measure 67 would increase corporations’ taxes.
Though Measure 67 opponents argue that the tax will hurt Oregon business, Hart-Landsberg contends that, “the overall economic environment is more important than taxes for attracting jobs and job creation.”
