Google Improves Calendar Interface
Google prides themselves on enhancing their products in order to keep them fresh and powerful. They accomplish this by occasionally adding new features while also improving ease of use. With that in mind, Google has recently updated their calendar interface to enhance the overall user experience and help folks manage their time more efficiently. Some of the recent changes include a sleeker design, modern color palette, use of hyperlinks, side-by-side views, and much more. A preview of the new calendar features can be found here.
Although Google’s new calendar interface is available now, it will officially be rolled out to everyone at Lewis & Clark College on Thursday February 1st. Your events will carry over into Google’s new calendar automatically. If you would like to get an early preview of the changes, you can manually install the update today by following these directions.
- On a computer, open Google Calendar.
- On the top right of your screen click Use new Calendar.
For more information regarding what you can do with Google’s new calendar, check out the Get Started with Calendar page on the G Suite Learning Center. Google has also created a helpful calendar cheat sheet that you can download. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact the IT Service Desk by phone at x7225 or by email at itservice@lclark.edu.
