Jess Perlitz Receives Individual Artist Fellowship AND Joan Shipley Award

Assistant Professor of Art and Studio Head of Sculpture Jess Perlitz has received a 2018 Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship and been named the 2018 Joan Shipley Fellow.

Assistant Professor of Art and Studio Head of Sculpture Jess Perlitz has received a 2018 Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship and been named the 2018 Joan Shipley Fellow. These competitive individual fellowships are designed to honor “Oregon’s professional artists and their artistic achievements.” The Oregon Arts Commission awards Individual Artist Fellows in the Visual Arts to “Oregon artists of outstanding talent, demonstrated ability and commitment to the creation of new work(s).” Further, to recognize late Oregon arts leader Joan Shipley, each year the Arts Commission designates a single special, honorary Joan Shipley Award to just one outstanding Fellow.
