Hiring Best Practices Series

The offices of Human Resources and Diversity and Inclusion are pleased to present an ongoing “hiring best practices” series.
This series will be offered regularly, and will rotate between the CAS, LAW, and GSEC campuses. Please see the workshop descriptions in the attached flyer for frequency of offering.
The first session, on Unconscious Bias, is open to all staff, and will be held on Wednesday, October 17 in Thayer from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch and eat during the presentation. Tea and cookies will be provided.
Pre-Hiring (for hiring managers only)
The second session, on Pre-Hiring, is designed specifically for hiring managers only. This session will be held on Monday, October 22 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in Albany 220. Tea and cookies will be provided.
Successful Hiring Practices
The third session in this series, on Successful Hiring Practices, is open to all staff. This session is required for all those serving on a search committee and is encouraged for anyone who wishes to serve on a search committee in the future. The session will be held on Thursday, November 1 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Albany 220. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch and eat during the presentation. Tea and cookies will be provided.
If you are unable to make one or more of these sessions, look for November dates that will be announced toward the end of October.
