Bootcamp for New Victim Attorneys

As the Equal Justice Works’ training and technical assistance provider for the Crime Victim Justice Corps (CVJC) Fellowship Program funded by the Department of Justice OJP.  NCVLI was responsible for developing an intensive victim law bootcamp for the CVJC fellows as part of their two-year fellowships.  On November 5th, four members of NCVLI’s legal team traveled to Washington D.C. for the in-person section of the bootcamp, spending the day training and working with 59 CVJC fellows.  The training involved small group discussions, analyzing a case study, and sharing experiences.  The group was energetic and engaged, ready to engage and learn from NCVLI and their colleagues.  At the end of the day it was clear that these 59 attorneys are an amazing addition to the band of victims’ rights attorneys assisting crime victims across the nation!
