Albany Clock Tower Repair Begins July 8

Contractors from NW Steeplejack will begin repair and renovation of the Albany clock tower on Monday, July 8.
Please note: The road between Albany and Olin will be closed on Wednesday, July 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The schedule for repair includes:
Contractor takes measurements and begin repair.
July 9 - 10
Lift on site working on exterior of clock tower as well as interior. Contractor will provide ground spotter.
Road closure between Albany and Olin will be closed on Wednesday, July 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flatbed and crane on site to remove the cupola and take it off site for repair in shop.
Protect roof opening and seal. Final measurements for structural components.
Tentative schedule for the rest of summer:
- Cupola will be off site for approximately six weeks for repairs (time dependent on condition inspection following removal).
- Two to three weeks after removal, contractors to install new steel structural posts and finalize sealing of roof opening.
- When cupola is repaired it will be reinstalled, tied to new structural framing and project completed. Flatbed, crane, and lift will be back onsite. Estimated time is two days.
