Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week program which involves extensive training in mindfulness meditation as the core of a program to teach people how to take better care of themselves and lead healthier lives. Mindful movement is also a part of the class. There is excellent evidence to support that mindfulness as taught in this program is positively associated with increased psychological well-being.
Fall 2019 Class Orientation Dates (an orientation is mandatory prior to taking the MBSR class, but does not obligate you to attend): Tuesday, Sept 17th, 3:30-5:30pm or Sunday, Sept 22nd, 5:00-7:00pm.
MBSR class Dates are Tuesdays, Sept 24th-Nov 12th, 3:30-6:00pm (no class March 26th) and an all-day retreat on Sunday, Nov 3rd, 9:30- 5pm.
Open to currently enrolled LC students only. Sponsored by the Counseling Service. NO FEE.
