Alum vies for grant to foster cross-cultural understanding through music

Ebenezer Bond BA ’00, founder of a nonprofit that uses music as a tool for global education, is competing for a grant from Pepsi’s Refresh Everything program.

Ebenezer Bond BA ’00 is the founder and executive director of World Up, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about international politics through hip-hop music. Bond credits his Lewis & Clark education with fostering his interest in international politics and music.

Bond hopes to expand his work with refugee youth through a summer camp program co-sponsored by World Up and the International Rescue Committee. World Up has been selected to take part in the Pepsi Refresh Everything grant contest for a chance to earn $50,000, which would support the summer camp program.
